Breakfast with Santa
Over the weekend my girls and I went with some of my family to Oglebay for "Breakfast with Santa." Isabella was so excited to see Santa. On the way there we practiced on what presents she was going to ask Santa for. She knew exactly what she wanted, a doll house, a dinosaur and a bunny for Elle. When we pulled in to the parking lot, she scrunched up her face and said, "hey, this isn't the north pole!" I of course had to tell her that Santa made a special trip all the way down from the north pole to meet her. She was ecstatic! We had a really nice breakfast, but of course Isabella spilled chocolate milk all down the front of her shirt not once, but twice! It's finally our turn to see Santa and Bella wants Nothing to do with him. She didn't want to go on the stage to see him, she didn't want to tell him what she wanted...nothing! I was determined to get a picture, so I basically pushed her and held her in front of Santa. It was so funny. She was a statue, she wouldn't move! Even though she didn't say a word or sit on Santa's lap, he still gave her a stuffed animal anyway. Then it was Gabrielle's turn...I sat her on his lap and she was fine, until she looked to see who was holding her. She looked back at me, stuck her bottom lip out and then screamed!! I know I was torturing my children, but I wanted that picture, and I thought it was pretty funny too. Afterwards, Bella was on cloud 9! She was so happy that she saw Santa and she had a new toy to play with. Can't wait to do it again next year!
