Breakfast with Santa
Over the weekend my girls and I went with some of my family to Oglebay for "Breakfast with Santa." Isabella was so excited to see Santa. On the way there we practiced on what presents she was going to ask Santa for. She knew exactly what she wanted, a doll house, a dinosaur and a bunny for Elle. When we pulled in to the parking lot, she scrunched up her face and said, "hey, this isn't the north pole!" I of course had to tell her that Santa made a special trip all the way down from the north pole to meet her. She was ecstatic! We had a really nice breakfast, but of course Isabella spilled chocolate milk all down the front of her shirt not once, but twice! It's finally our turn to see Santa and Bella wants Nothing to do with him. She didn't want to go on the stage to see him, she didn't want to tell him what she wanted...nothing! I was determined to get a picture, so I basically pushed her and held her in front of Santa. It was so funny. She was a statue, she wouldn't move! Even though she didn't say a word or sit on Santa's lap, he still gave her a stuffed animal anyway. Then it was Gabrielle's turn...I sat her on his lap and she was fine, until she looked to see who was holding her. She looked back at me, stuck her bottom lip out and then screamed!! I know I was torturing my children, but I wanted that picture, and I thought it was pretty funny too. Afterwards, Bella was on cloud 9! She was so happy that she saw Santa and she had a new toy to play with. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Gabrielle "Elle" is a BIG girl!!
As of November 22, Gabrielle is on the run...literally! She finally started walking. She had been taking steps weeks before, but she finally built up enough courage to walk off on her own. She is so proud of herself. She can't help but smile everywhere she goes. I love it when babies first start walking, they are so stinking cute. She reminds me of a little monkey, her arms are up in the air, her belly sticks out and her legs flop. She is also talking up a storm. My favorite word that she says is obviously mommy! There is nothing sweeter than when your baby says your name for the first time and she knows what she is saying. When you walk into the room and she smiles at you and says mommy!! There's nothing like it.
Not to be outdone, Isabella has been pouring on the sweetness too. Just yesterday she sits on my lap facing towards me and says, "mommy, you're my best friend, give me a hug." I, of coarse hug her and kiss her face a dozen times. She then told me to put my cheeks in her hands, and then gave me the biggest kiss and told me she loves me! I melted into a big puddle of goo. The good Lord has blessed Mike and I with the sweetest little girls.

The first of many
Well, this is officially my very first blog. I've never thought about doing one before, but after some requests from friends and looking at a few really cute blogs, I thought I'd give it a try... here it goes!
I thought I'd start off by telling you a little bit about my family. My handsome husband Mike and I have been happily married now for 5 years and we have two beautiful little girls. Isabella is 2 1/2 and Gabrielle just turned 1! We had a ladybug theme birthday party for "Elle" and we all had a really good time. Isabella attends Montessori school for a few hours 3 days a week. She's learning so much and is really enjoying making new friends.
